Graduation

“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.”
Late on the posting once again but I graduated last Saturday with a Bachelors of Science in Human Environmental Sciences from the University of Missouri!  I majored in Textile and Apparel Management with a track in Apparel Marketing and Merchandising.

I can honestly say that college was a struggle but definitely a time in my life that I enjoyed and will miss.  I had too many fun and crazy times, met great people, and built lasting friendships and I wish nothing but the best for everyone that went through this struggle with me.

As for me, I graduated but the work is not over.  This is just the first step for me.  I have nothing but time for me to grind and find that job that job in the industry.  As the quote says, I will live the life I have always imagined.

Finals Finito

That face you get when you been studying for hours.  You don't know my pain!
So today I am finally done.  I have taken my last final of undergrad.  Studying for it was very time consuming and was not an easy task but it is over and a huge weight is taken off of my shoulder.  Shout out to all of the students in my class who had to go through that bs with me!

WDDWT and Kendrick Lamar

Sorry for the lack of posts, and I'm a day late on this post as well.  I started my Saturday early waiting in line with a group of friends so that we could be front row at the Kendrick Lamar concert at the University of Missouri.  While in line I got a lot of stuff done though, emails, homework, studying, etc.
After I was done with all of my work I had my friends hold my spot so that I could change and grab a bite to eat.
Clothing: Hanes Black Perfect Tee, Red and black flannel, Levis Corduroys, Jordan Retro 1 Old Loves.  Accessories: Gold herringbone necklace, Leather Africa Medallion
I tried to go for a "grunge" look if you can't tell.  Let me know if I pulled it off in the comments below!

Waiting for the opening act
The show was great!  Everything from Souls of Liberty who were the opening act to Kendrick Lamar.  The crowd was mad hype from front row pit area to the balcony.  I had a great time and it was well worth the money.

Not So Ordinary Monday

Today started like any other Monday.  No classes so I wake up a little later, watch Sports Center a couple of times, make some breakfast and watch some cartoons, shower, then head to campus to work on my capstone project.

As I get in my car to leave my phone starts to vibrate, an unknown number is calling me.  I never answer unknown numbers but I had the feeling that I should take this call.

It was a good friend of mine that lives in Atlanta.  I hadn't spoken to him for a while, the last time I was in Atlanta we were supposed to link up but I could never get in contact with him.  Later I soon found out why.

To make a long story short my buddy is in prison for three years.  No he is not a criminal, he just made a mistake.  Sadly that mistake affected him and the life of another individual.  He is a good guy and I pray that he stay strong.

My message for the day is to always think before you do something.  Your actions can not only have a negative impact on yourself but on others.

Lazy Sunday

What should be done the day after you worked fifteen straight hours?
Answer-Have a lazy Sunday.

I started this day waking up close to 1pm.  Decided to get out of bed and make myself a nice late breakfast: eggs, bacon, biscuits.  All while watching some Sunday Football; gotta love the NFL.

Eventually I decided to get out of the house.  Not much to do in this town, my choices consist of going on campus (nah), the mall (dead).  I did end up at Macy's though where I ended up buying a nice Alfani sweater that was on sale.

On the way back home I decided to stop by this Army shop so I could get some Ideas on this little project I have in mind (more details coming soon).

I made my way back home where I literally did a bunch of nothing.  Eating, watching the Greenbay Packers/New Orleans Saints game, and more nothing.

I did however do some work for my capstone.  I guess that adds some productivity to today.  Oh yeah, I decided to update this blog that I started back in 2010 but never posted on.

Well here you have it, I promise this time I will be more frequent!
